2003 HONDA RC-51 THE FATMAN |

For the longest time I thought it would be awesome to own a V-Twin motorcycle. I test rode a RC-51 up at Perry Sound back in 1999 along with a CBR 600F4. I thought the RC was pretty radical and the fuel injection was real tricky and I didn't really like it. I bought the 2000 CBR600F4 the following year. On July 9 2003 I bought a Honda RC-51 at The House of Motorcycles in San Diego. I had to jump through a bunch hoops to get it with insurance being a huge pain in the rear. I broke the bike in by riding it all the way up to Montrey and back about 1100 miles. No surprise that I bought a Corbin seat for it. I named the bike Fatman because of its wide gas tank and its throaty like fatman sound. |
