On July 2, 1999 at Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada, at The Sport Bike Rally I had the pleasure of testing out a 1999 CBR600F4 for a thirty minute ride. I just had to get me one them things. So on February 2, 2000, I bought one. As with the 1993 VFR, I can only hope that I have as many good times and meet as many great people. That will happen I know, after all its a motorcycle and its a Honda. Finally after three weeks of winter weather it warmed up. Feb. 22, I took the Stinger out for a spin. Only went 8 miles but I reacquainted myself to what a great bike a CBR is. On the next day it was nicer out almost 60F. Rode out to meet a friend at the Inverness Inn. In the break-in process I don't go over 5k rpm's but still can go 65 in sixth gear. Also offically filled the tank for the first time. Fuel light comes on with about one gallon left. This trip was about 48 miles. I can't get over how flickable this bike is and it wants to run once you get to 5k rpm. It has a nice sound even with the stock pipe. Finally got SB broken in and changed the oil. What a pain in the ass that is taking off all the plastic to get to the oil filter. Oh, 130mph at 11,000rpm. Exciting. As of May 29 I have 2345 miles on the clock.
